The BCC Hoof 'n' Hook team of nine students with five stud bulls, a cow and calf and a steer, left Bundaberg last Friday for the Kingaroy show. Several heavy showers on Saturday made for difficult conditions for everyone, however the hard work of students was rewarded with two of the cattle from Oakwood stud being judged Champion European Bull and Champion European Cow respectively. This was followed by the Junior Handling competition and we were excited when Avah Murdoch was awarded 1^st in the 13 to 15 years section and Matt Kelly was awarded 1^st in the 16 years and over competition. These are massive wins in the context – please congratulate these students as they overcame adversity and very stiff competition.
