Sport at BCC
There is overwhelming scientific evidence on the positive effects of sport and physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle. Participating in sport improves physical and mental health, provides opportunities to grow socially and improves communication and leadership skills. All students at BCC participate in health and physical education as part of their curriculum, including annual swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals.
Students have access to a range of exciting opportunities designed to enhance their skills and passion for sport, whether they are just starting or aiming for advanced levels.
Our Lions Sports Program is available to students in Years 4-12 and focuses on high-level training and competition in basketball and volleyball. The BCC Lions Sports Program is designed to elevate students’ athletic abilities while supporting their holistic development as learners and athletes.Our Development Squad Program offers specialised coaching in futsal, touch football, and netball, with a focus on representing the College at interschool competitions.
Additional interschool sports are available depending on student interest. The College aims to propel students forward in their chosen sport and provide multiple opportunity to represent their school in various forums.
Our newly developed undercover Sports Complex and gym, plus expansive playing fields and indoor hall offer flexible and modern training facilities.
