Students celebrated at Sports, Equestrian and Hoof 'n' Hook Award Evening

The impressive achievements of students have been recognised at the 2022 Sports, Hoof n Hook, and Equestrian Awards night.

Sporting talent and achievement was celebrated with students from Year 1 to Year 12 receiving awards for their success, commitment and participation across individual and team sports, including through the BCC Academy of Sport, and annual carnivals and events.

Students who have represented their various sports at the Bundaberg, Wide Bay, and State level were also recognised.

The top awards of the evening were presented to the sportsmen and sportswomen who have demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple sports and events, and are the top all-round sports person in their age group.

Congratulations to:

-  Junior School Sportsboy of the year – Caleb Box
-  Junior School Sportsgirl of the year – Bethany Marsman
-  Middle School Sportsman of the year – Levi Marsman
-  Middle School Sportswoman of the year – April Mathiesen
-  Senior School Sportsman of the year – Cornelis Van de Merwe
-  Senior School Sportswoman of the year - Abigail Marsman

Pace Riddell received the award for Outstanding Achievement in School Sport for his achievements in High Jump.

Hoof n Hook students were also celebrated and recognised for their participation and achievements both within the program and regional show teams, with the top awards presented to:

-  Hoof n Hook Middle Years Handler of the Year - Olivia Mason

-  Hoof n Hook Middle Years All-rounder - Amity Nimmo
-  Hoof n Hook Senior Handler of the Year – Cadence Webster
-  Hoof n Hook Junior Judge – Lily Mason and Grace Hughes
-  Hoof n Hook Allrounder – Cody Muller
