Forty BCC students participated in QLD Cancer Council’s “Relay for Life”, raising $5672 that will aid our local community cancer support services as well as vital research.  Prior to the relay, students participated in team fundraising activities such as Sausage Sizzles and Spider Days. They also conducted their own individual fundraising, demonstrating their commitment.

Relay is a challenging activity, as teams walk through the night and participate in ceremonies that celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer and consider how to fight back against this disease. Many thanks to our supervisors, Mrs Ramsay, Mrs McKim, Mrs Newton, Mrs Casten, Kit Howkins and special thanks to our terrific props team and set up team.

Notably, our team represented our College well, shared the hope of Christ and won the prize for Best Campsite 2018.  Well done, Team BCC.
