← First Swimming Carnival for 2021 Sees Increased Participation

The annual Middle and Senior School Swimming Carnival took place last Tuesday February 16. The combination of perfect weather and higher participation rates than previous years led to a great day of racing, fellowship and fun (and maybe a little too much sugar from the Norville Pool Kiosk).

We were lucky enough to use two pools to encourage participation and thanks must go to Mr Chibbard and his helpers on the 25m pool for their weird and wonderful races that managed to get just about everyone in the pool and having fun. Any race that involves making a fellow student into a pet unicorn has got to be a winner right?

In the main pool, competition was fierce – but maybe not fierce enough for Kirio who managed to swim to victory for the fourth year in a row. Bola won the House Spirit Trophy which leaves Fonu to bunker down and get ready for the Cross Country in order to make up some ground.

Thanks goes to the staff who assisted on the day and a big thank you to the Year 12 Prefect Body who, after setting everything up, worked their hardest to encourage their teams on all day.

Congratulations to everyone and let’s get ready for Inter-house Cross Country in April.
