← 'Grin and Tonic'
Brisbane-based theatre company, Grin & Tonic, visited BCC on Thursday 27 August to perform David Burton's drama, 'Six Billion Friends and Counting'. The drama was demonstrating a Verbatim theatre style that many students have explored in class and is based on real life text from events and experiences that have occurred in the character’s lives.
The Grin and Tonic performance was a highly technical and contemporary presentation around the influence of social media, from the real life perspective and experiences of a group of Queensland teenagers and the impacts of inappropriate use of some social media.
The content was very engaging and educational, and the performance was fast-paced and challenging. We were all delighted to have seen a live performance, split over two shows to manage the COVID-19 restrictions.
