January 12, 2022

Happy New Year to you and your families! I trust you have had a blessed and restful Christmas and New Year break. I am looking forward to the school year and firmly believe our students will thrive in so many different ways this year.

We find ourselves again wading through uncertain times as a College and a wider community. I’m sure you would agree that these are indeed unprecedented, yet God is in control and He will be our wisdom, strength and peace as, together we look forward to and plan arrangements for the commencement of the 2022 school year.

With this in mind, I write to confirm details around the return of students for 2022. In accordance with the Premier’s announcement:

  • School resumes for Prep to Year 10 on Monday 7 February 2022
  • School resumes online for Years 11 and 12 on Monday 31 January 2022 and in person on Monday 7 February 2022
  • School resumes for Kindergarten at Chrysalis as normal on Monday 24 January 2022.
  • The College will be open on Monday 24 January to provide supervision of children of essential workers and vulnerable children, only. If you are an essential worker or have a vulnerable child, please register your child/ren’s attendance via this link by Thursday 20 January 2022. The RISE Café will not be available during this time.

As a result of the later start to the academic year, the College will extend the school year by 3 days, Monday to Wednesday 5 to 7 December 2022 for Prep to Year 9 only. Year 10, 11, 12 and Kindergarten will finish as per the calendar.

Students who are 12 years old or older will be required to wear a face mask at the College as per the current health directive. We ask that when parents and carers come on site that they too wear a face mask.

Junior School teachers will email an introduction letter home to those students in their class on Thursday 20 January 2022. Middle and Senior School students will be able to access their timetables online on 28 January 2022. Mr Brendan Hosking and Mrs Elissa Vardy will be emailing parents next week with further information more specific to the relevant schools.
