About the speakers

David’s career in land-use planning and development projects commenced as a local government planner in 1979. His extensive experience enables him to lead statutory, strategic planning and development projects in various local government areas including those of rural and coastal growth areas and urban south-east Queensland. He also has considerable experience in development projects and development assessment.
— David Newby, InsiteSJC Partner, Town Planner and Development Consultant
Evonne has 16 years’ experience managing a diverse range of developments from conception to successful completion. Apart from the more conventional town planning roles, Evonne’s speciality seems to be all the quirky stuff that doesn’t fit neatly in the planning box! She particularly enjoys working with clients to achieve their objectives in as timely and cost-efficient manner as possible, collaborating with other disciplines in the development industry to deliver quality outcomes, and cultivating productive relationships with councils, State Government departments and other agencies and organisations to provide workable solutions.
— Evonne Swain, InsiteSJC Senior Projects Coordinator
