Conveniently located next to the Bundaberg Christian College campus, Chrysalis ELC is rated as Exceeding National Quality Standards and offers the Queensland Government’s Free Kindy Program.

A caring, Christian environment

With the same heart and ethos of our P-12 College, Chrysalis ELC places an emphasis on the development of the whole child – cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual. Our dedicated Christian staff provide a nurturing and caring Christian environment allowing children to grow confidently in their identity and sense of belonging.

Uniquely catering for each child’s needs

Our small room sizes help children to feel safe and connected, while also offering tailored learning and development opportunities for each age level.

Our outdoor play areas are also designed around the needs of different age groups, offering rich and diverse learning experiences, and plenty of opportunities to promote mental, physical and social wellbeing. We offer 3 different outdoor play spaces where children enjoy interacting with our centre animals – including birds, fish and chickens—and learn responsibility as they help feed them and collect eggs. Sustainability is woven throughout daily experiences, with gardens and nature play helping children develop a strong sense of connection to the world around them.

Chrysalis rooms

Koalas - 15 months to 2 years
Possums - 2 to 3 years
Kangaroos - 3 to 5 years
Emus - Kindergarten program, 4 years of age by 30 June in the year before Prep.

Kindy, the launchpad to school success

Our Kindergarten program, taught by experienced and qualified early learning teachers, ensures children are ready to hit the ground running when they begin Prep. Children enjoy play based learning and a variety of rich educational experiences, including visits to the Bundaberg Christian College library and special events such as Bookweek—helping to make their transition to Prep a positive experience.

Chrysalis participates in the QLD Government’s ‘Free Kindy’ program.

Our ELC and Outside School-Hours Care operates Monday to Friday from 7am to 5:30pm.
Exceeding standards
Chrysalis Early Learning Centre (ELC) is recognised by The Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority as exceeding National Quality Standards.
Childcare subsidy
Our centre is approved for the Australian Government Child Care subsidy.
Free Kindy provider
Our ELC operates a QLD Government Approved Kindergarten Program, delivered by qualified Early Childhood teachers. We participate in the Queensland Government ‘Free Kindy’ program.
Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
Our licensed OSHC program provides a fun and energetic educational environment for BCC students before and after school, and during school holidays.
