Primary Overview PDF Print E-mail

Our primary department is blessed with an equal number of male and female Christian teachers who manifest the love of Christ to the students. Providing an education to all families, the majority of them Christian, the college is continually gaining respect and a higher profile in the Bundaberg community.

Housed in modern classrooms with the added benefit of access to our secondary art department, science and computer labs, our students are given ample opportunity to excel and develop a love for learning. Our primary school curriculum follows the Education Queensland syllabus with small class sizes.

The college has a developing Learning Support Department with full-time teachers and aids. Children at risk are assessed and all are supported in their studies. Our experienced and well qualified Learning Support Teacher compassionately follows the process in consultation with the class teacher, giving in-the-classroom assistance or short-term withdrawal for intensive remediation. With a team of trained aids the learning needs of our students are consistently addressed.

Theodore Roosevelt once said ‘to develop knowledge without values is to produce a menace to society’. Emphasis is placed on both academic excellence and spiritual development. Our college prides itself on developing Christian values and ideals through a systematic and daily curriculum. Our ultimate prize is to develop Christ-likeness in our students manifesting the fruit of the Spirit: ‘love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.’ Image
