The Bundaberg Christian College (BCC) Tuckshop strives to provide students with high quality food at a reasonable price.  The Tuckshop is run by the College for the benefit of the school and students and is staffed by volunteers.
Students enjoy a wide range of nutritious and healthy foods available for purchase, over the counter and through our ordering system.  A new menu is sent home each term, with new foods added to provide on ongoing variety of foods available to our students.  BCC believes that healthy eating practices should be encouraged and this is strongly promoted through the Tuckshop.  The Smart Choices Healthy Guidelines are endorsed by the College.

We ask our parents to promote and encourage GREEN foods and drinks, whilst AMBER foods and drinks should be selected carefully from the menu. RED foods are not sold on a daily basis at BCC and thus are not on the menu.  Instead, upto twice a term, a special ‘red’ day menu is provided to the students.  A flyer advertising the day and the menu is sent home prior to the Red day.

The BCC Tuckshop is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during 1st and 2nd Breaks.  Orders are to be completed in the morning prior to 9:15am to allow sufficient time to prepare the lunches fresh for the students.  Each order should be submitted on a paper bag, clearly showing the students name, year level and class and order. If at any time the tuckshop is closed (due to sports carnivals or other such events) a note is placed in the newsletter and also this is noted on the back of the Tuckshop menu.

For when your child is not having Tuckshop, the State Government has some easy and healthy ideas for students lunchboxes on their website.

The Tuckshop is run by a convenor with a small team of parent volunteers who kindly give of their time to help make this venture possible.  If you have a spare couple of hours or day and would like to assist in the Tuckshop, please give the school office a call.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.
